Read With Tonka

Tonka is a registered therapy dog in California. As a member of Pj's Pals, Tonka specializes in reading education and volunteers at libraries in Hesperia, Apple Valley, and Victorville. Tonka loves his job helping children improve their reading skills and building their confidence. He encourages children to read to him, nuzzling their ear or putting a helping paw on the book, he just likes to hear them read.

Tonka is currently learning to read words off of flash cards and has mastered 3 words and learning more all the time. He admires the way children learn how to read and wants to be just like them.
